If there is one thing that can be said about Frederick L. Shute (“Fred” to his friends), it is this: he is a brilliant jeweler and metalsmith who has a knack for combining sacred geometry into functional forms that are also works of art. While the Intrinity is a recent creation born of having read the Emerald Tablets, Frederick had been creating metaphysically-based pieces for over 35 years. For example, consider the Wand of Poseidon. It is much bigger than it looks – one’s hand goes ’round the middle (the small piece on the right is meant to worn as a pendant). A beautiful, and functional, piece of crystal-based art. Frederick’s latest creations can be seen in the shop.
Frederick attended the Frankfurt International School in Germany. There he met Jeff Goebel, and after developing a fantastic friendship, they later partnered and ran Ramsey’s Rocks and Minerals in Sedona, Arizona. Frederick has considerable experience importing precious gems from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, and has owned 5 jewelry stores in America. In addition he was a consulting geologist on diamond mining projects in South Africa, Namibia, and Angola.
Since the year 2000, Frederick has focused his energies on the creation of functional metaphysical art objects and jewelry. This led to his creation of the Intrinity, and that, of course, led to further pieces.
Frederick has worked closely with David Sereda, Michael Lee Hill, Teresa Aluna White, and many others, to create unique works of jewelry art with spiritual emphasis. In addition, Frederick has collaborated with New Phoenix Rising (producers of the BioLumina USA Spirulina) to create an enhanced Intrinity jewelry piece that aids in the protection from EMF radiation.
Now Frederick continues to work on further ideas and cares for his growing rescue dog pack — the true joy in his life. Frederick is a very approachable human being, always stressing kindness whenever and wherever he can. This is demonstrated by his favorite quote:
Do not think yourself successful unless the masses laugh at you.
To be honest, if Fred were not the man he is, I’m not sure I would have found such pleasure and inspiration in putting this site together for him.
